WELCOME TO destiny's strata

The town seems like any other town. Simple, quiet on the exterior but digging beyond the surface will reveal a whole new world of deception, lies, and most of all, power. This is where the rich come to raise their families. But they all have their dirty little secrets. Isolating themselves from the rest of the world is the norm here, weeding out the 'bad seeds'. The children are raised with a sense of 'being privileged' and their parents encourage this. They go to private universities where they are taught to rule the world.

But there is one little problem...

The government says they have to allow a certain number of scholarships every year to the underprivileged kids or risk the closure of their schools. On the far end of town lives the poor, the down-trodden, and the downright scum of the earth, or, at least, that is how the upper class sees them. Mana Marrow tries to hide this embarrassment in their town but now, with the government intervening, they will have to allow some of these young adults to mix with their own precious, spoiled, and pampered offspring. The town comes together to form 'The Hetaireia', a secret society for the Elite, and figures out a way to make this work in their favor, however, and soon the lucky chosen underprivileged youth begin their university studies only to find that all is not as it seems. A hierarchy is born and they find themselves at the bottom rung, treated as less than second class citizens.

Will you be one of the privileged students that seem to rule the schools?
Or will you be one of the poor, who struggle for the acceptance that they may never find?
Or maybe you will be an adult, working in the town, the schools, or at the factory that supplies jobs for little pay and hard labor?

The choice is yours, so choose wisely!

Technically Dames could have asked Sky to do the shopping for his dogs. In the past, he had a few times, but of late, due to Sky's... er... sensitive...? condition...? he decided to buy the stuff himself, and that was fine anyway. Dames loved shopping for his pets. He almost always ended up buying a lot more than he really needed to, especially the toys. And of course, an excellent bonus was getting to meet all the other dogs other owners brought in along with them sometimes.

Back when he only had Paxton, he used to do that, too. Then he had two, then more and more, until he had nine in all now, so lest he wanted to look like a professional dogwalker, even though he trained all of his pups very well, and they were all very obedient, he couldn't really do that anymore. Probably he could have started bringing them on rotation, but... in the end, nah, he just stopped bringing any of his dogs with him at all.

That day, his haul consisted of a new toy for each of his nine pets, based on their favorites. Four different bags of dog food, due to Danny requiring the senior one; Paxton, Graham, Jigga, and Roo all requiring the small breed one; and the rest of the dogs needing the regular kind. Several bags of treats for much the same reasons, including dental treats, and also because of the different flavors and types there were. Yeahhh, he probably went overboard, but then again, he almost always did, and it wasn't like any of them ever went to waste.

As he was pushing his cart out towards his car, Dames caught sight of a poster stuck to the wall near the door that he hadn't noticed going in earlier. He paused to take a read of it, and frowned, because hadn't he seen that face before...? Oh! Right, she was... dancing and kissing with West at that Halloween Ball, and she was one of the Scholars decorating the Ainsworths' grounds for Christmas. Ah. So West's Scholar friend...?

'Stella Watson'... Noting the name, he took out his phone and took a photograph of the poster to text to West later, in case he hadn't seen it yet. Because if they were friends, he would want to know, right...? If he didn't already.

It had been a couple of rough weeks, months... years... Yeah it had been, difficult. The only thing that helped, was the amount of work River was able to take on. It was what kept his life afloat: when he was working, he was not thinking that much. He was focused on the job to be done, and he ought that to his boss, whom he had learn to respect and appreciate. The man, even if he was an Elite, had his own challenges and family issues, and it helped in a strange cathartic way.
But since Stella disappearance, River had more and more difficulty to do as if every aspect of his life could be manageable. He was becoming distracted, and nervous. After work, instead of getting the rest and sleep he needed, he stayed in the streets, browsing street after street, back alley after back alley, trying to find a sign, any sign, of his sister.

Of course, his mother had been at the Police. But... it was well known that Stella stayed at the Whitmans' - something mom hadn't took very nicely- and then, the Whitmans' being one of the Founders Family, the case had been quickly closed, hidden under the rug. If Stella had disappeared because of one of the boys Whitmans, nobody would ever found out, even less be incriminated and punished for it. That was how it worked. Here.

Welcome to Mana Marrow...

River had got calls and messages, since he had put posters all over the city. Mainly they were pranks, or wrong information. But River was obstinate, he would not stop hoping that quickly. So, regularly, he added more posters here and there, as they were ripped out and threw away. Sometimes, he changed them because of comments, harsh or lewd comments, people left on them. He was looking for his little sister, people couldn't even respect that.
He was taping new posters around the town hall when he saw someone looking at one of them. He approached wondering if the man was there to add comments of his own, or... He was taking a picture of it? What kind of joke was it?

With a stack of new posters under his arm, River stopped at Dames' level watching him, and with his deep, calm voice "hum... excuse me. I see you're taking a picture of the poster... Do you... Do you know her? Do you know where she could be?"
